Rene Gil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Ariel Osorio took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Marcos Cotilla to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Rompe Tibias Club booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Barrios didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 94 minutes of play, Rompe Tibias Club's Ariel Osorio made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew the final whistle, Rompe Tibias Club could leave the field as winners, despite Panama having more of the ball for most of the match.
