In the 48th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Tellier players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Placido Lucero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 53rd minute. With a little luck, Tellier's Placido Lucero got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pastor Phelipe kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tellier throughout the match.
