Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) After 4 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geraldo Miranda in the 7th minute. Nildo Braga came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 23rd minute of the match, Geraldo Miranda got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jonathan Ferrant was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Renato Valladares in the 27th minute of play. Tio Patinhas's Nildo Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 33rd minute of play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nildo Braga having to interfere. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Nildo Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nildo Braga saved Tio Patinhas from getting behind. Geraldo Miranda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geraldo Miranda got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Geraldo Mirandas short, quick shot in the 48thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Tio Patinhas made a substitution. Ian Barral replaced Walmir Peres. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geraldo Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Geraldo Miranda came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Geraldo Miranda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rigoberto Mina during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 77 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. In the 79th minute Paulo Renato Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tio Patinhas's Joélson Duarte got a free kick in the 86th minute. Evaristo Dracena's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evaristo Dracena helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tio Patinhas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! Nildo Braga had in the 88thth minute some difficulties stopping Tomas Illescas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball 89 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nildo Braga. Tio Patinhas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Nildo Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 92 minutes Tio Patinhas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Nildo Braga despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Patricio Costa's late challenge caught a Tio Patinhas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patricio Costa helped the player get up and apologised. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 98 minutes into the match, Paulo Renato Valladares notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
