A very good chance. Reinaldo Azeredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmundo Espiga went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Lourenço Gama sent off a good shot on target. In the 25th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaldo Azeredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lourenço Gama got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Porfírio Araújo in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reinaldo Azeredo was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Edmundo Espiga sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Folga's Reinaldo Azeredo didn't even have to move. 60 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Porfírio Araújo came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Porfírio Araújo in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Folga's Lourenço Gama got a free kick in the 69th minute. Manuel Caldeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Manuel Caldeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Manuel Caldeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmundo Espiga in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Reinaldo Azeredo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 82nd minute of the match Tarcísio Esparteiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lautaro Navarro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Edmundo Espiga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Reinaldo Azeredo. Edmundo Espiga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2.
