Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A collision led to Al-Ahli getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Shaban Al Motaire hit a great ball. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Matey Dachevski tried to sneak it across the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Al-Ahli's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Clud Almagro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Mamdouh Hayat kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. Othman Al Shaikh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, 최 마 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Al-Ahli's Mamdouh Hayat got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 51st minute of play forced Al-Ahli's goalkeeper Clud Almagro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matey Dachevski in the 55th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Matey Dachevski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matey Dachevski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Al-Ahli! Ebrahem Al Qatam charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ebrahem Al Qatam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ebrahem Al Qatam hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Mamdouh Hayat came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clud Almagro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 83rd minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Al-Ahli had played much better football throughout.
