Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Hermon came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Omar Conrao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The supporters of Domínguez AFC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Artemio Cidro from long distance, 22 minutes into the match, got Jonathan Ferrant's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 24 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Omar Conrao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Fidel Gaitano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Fidel Gaitano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Hermon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven-Ove Colin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Omar Conrao was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by Domínguez AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Humberto Hermon to strike the kick off in the second half. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Fidel Gaitano struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Domínguez AFC. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Tino in the 53rd minute of play. In the 58th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 68 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Hermon, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Omar Conrao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fidel Gaitano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 80 minutes into the match, Fidel Gaitano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fidel Gaitano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Bernabe Weterio hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Omar Conrao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 90 minutes into the match, Domínguez AFC's Fidel Gaitano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Gaitano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Bernabe Weterio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Domínguez AFC's Fidel Gaitano in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Domínguez AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
