The referee showed Shaban Al Motaire the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Shaban Al Motaire hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Al-Ahli's Younis Al Harban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Panama's Tomas Berganza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Younis Al Harban made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Isidoro Sarmiento scored 0-3 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Younis Al Harban, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the game, Faleh Al Saleh recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcos Cotilla. Faleh Al Saleh showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Abraham Alguacil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Younis Al Harban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Al-Ahli's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Alguacil came free, but Younis Al Harban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Berganza made a kick off. Younis Al Harban didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Berganza went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. If Miguel Miralles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faleh Al Saleh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidoro Sarmiento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute, Tomas Berganza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Younis Al Harban was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Younis Al Harban having to interfere. When Osama Al Mansor fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Al-Ahli's protests and gave Osama Al Mansor a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Al-Ahli's Osama Al Mansor got a free kick in the 74th minute. With a little luck, Al-Ahli's Younis Al Harban got control of the ball when Isidoro Sarmiento tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 77th minute by Tomas Berganza got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Abraham Alguacil didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-6 via right post in the game's 77th minute. Panama's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Alberto Sainz's late challenge caught a Al-Ahli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
