Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ted Stroobos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 10th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Stroobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Albertus FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. In the 12th minute, Netzach Nieth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Albertus FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Arnold Hemmen hit a great ball. In the 14th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Stroobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Albertus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pieter Theissen didn't get a good kick on the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhou Kang Cheng in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhou Kang Cheng in the 66th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute of the match Albertus FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Albertus FC's Warman de Jager was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Warman de Jager in the 72nd minute of play. After having played for 79 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnold Hemmen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Ted Stroobos in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Zhou Kang Cheng put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. 92 minutes into the match, Albertus FC's goalkeeper Ted Stroobos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhou Kang Cheng in the 94th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhou Kang Cheng in the 96th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador played a much better game than Albertus FC and deserved their victory. The Albertus FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
