Kaká Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Kaká Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético de Crisal's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaká Ferreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Breno Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 25 minutes, Haroldo Capixaba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético de Crisal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haroldo Capixaba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Kaká Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cido Valle saved Atlético de Crisal from getting behind. Edmundo Espiga spun around in front of the goal 29 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Atlético de Crisal's goal. Cido Valle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Milagros Cabal's late challenge caught a Atlético de Crisal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Milagros Cabal helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Honduras:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Atlético de Crisal:s goal. Romarinho Silva took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. José Augusto Figueiredo got a throw-in 42 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Haroldo Capixaba. 47 minutes into the match, Romarinho Silva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romarinho Silva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kaká Ferreira was the one to do the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Kaká Ferreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cido Valle was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. If Adelino Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adelino Miranda in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. Luís Vergílio made in the 83rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Romarinho Silva immediately put the ball in play. 85 minutes in the game Luís Vergílio did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Haroldo Capixaba. Cido Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Tafalla in the 90th minute of the match. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Christian Sancho hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Romarinho Silva came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute, Haroldo Capixaba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético de Crisal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Honduras's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
