A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the game, Netzach Nieth cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 21st minute of play forced Albertus FC's goalkeeper Ted Stroobos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Warman de Jager could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. 31 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Arnold Hemmen came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ted Stroobos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ted Stroobos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Zhou Kang Cheng sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zhou Kang Cheng made a kick off. Ted Stroobos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnold Hemmen in the 57th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Albertus FC's Zhou Kang Cheng got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 85th minute, Warman de Jager ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. In the 88th minute Arnold Hemmen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
