After a rather tough play, ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽'s Nestor Sarmiento got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Paulino Slight didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. After a defensive mix-up in ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽'s zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulino Slight came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Paulino Slight was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 37th minute of play forced ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽'s goalkeeper Paulino Slight to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽'s goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Paulino Slight reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Paulino Slight. Paulino Slight yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽'s Paulino Slight played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 55th minute of play. Paulino Slight came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Paulino Slight made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 62nd minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rosalio Cavada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Paulino Slight in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Paulino Slight however easily saved by the left post. Paulino Slight showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulino Slight having to make a save. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulino Slight made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the match, ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽'s goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Paulino Slight reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee showed Ismael Nazario Sastre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 90 played minutes ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽ got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Nazario Sastre. 94 minutes into the game, ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽'s Casimír Cavada nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-8. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ♞⚽ VIRAO Extreme ♞⚽ throughout the match.
