USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. PIAUÍ FC's Iurie Chiriacescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 26th minute of play. After 27 minutes PIAUÍ FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cassius Byrne who took care of the corner kick. 31 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baturhan Oytun. In the 32nd minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iurie Chiriacescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PIAUÍ FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Sam Campbell scored to the left of an out of position Iurie Chiriacescu, making the score, 2-3. When the final whistle sounded USA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than PIAUÍ FC.
