Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off. Los Materos FC's Lazaros Kabantais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 4th minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Tincho Palermo sent off a good shot on target. Luz Tejedor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13thth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Materos FC's Lazaros Kabantais was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 15th minute Tincho Palermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 18th minute of play forced Los Materos FC's goalkeeper Lazaros Kabantais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Los Materos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lazaros Kabantais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 25th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lazaros Kabantais prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Los Materos FC's Aaron Molina got a free kick in the 29th minute. Lazaros Kabantais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 31st minute of play. After 33 played minutes Los Materos FC got a freekick which was hit by Igor Salvidor. Julian Murillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lazaros Kabantais. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julian Murillo ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 37 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lazaros Kabantais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lazaros Kabantais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tincho Palermo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Elias Furman threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tincho Palermo in the 55th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lazaros Kabantais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Lazaros Kabantais in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tincho Palermo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Los Materos FC's Carlos Larpe was substituted for Braulio Milian. A sloppy throw-in by Simon Diaz in the 68th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Lazaros Kabantais made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Mendebal in the 71st minute of play. Luz Tejedor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Lazaros Kabantais made a huge save. In the 74th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lazaros Kabantais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Los Materos FC's goalkeeper Lazaros Kabantais had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luz Tejedor. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Lazaros Kabantais in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Milagros Fraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Lazaros Kabantais made a huge save. The supporters of Peru booed when Los Materos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Molina didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Los Materos FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
