Benito Sanz didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when IFC's Erasmo Palben shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. 9 minutes into the game, Emilio Stefano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Emilio Stefano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 13th minute Emilio Stefano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaspar Guillelmus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abel Carballo's late challenge caught a IFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Stefano in the 25th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Erasmo Palben recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Erasmo Palben showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. If Gaspar Guillelmus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaspar Guillelmus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute, one of Costa Rica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Costa Rica. In the 35th minute of the game, IFC got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. Emilio Stefano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute Erasmo Palben shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. IFC's Emilio Stefano got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of IFC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Costa Rica! The referee gave IFC a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Erasmo Palben, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. 7-0. 65 minutes into the game, Emilio Stefano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silverio Carlomagno in the 80th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilio Stefano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when IFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liam Downes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 95th minute. 98 minutes into the match, Emilio Stefano notched a goal, 11-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. IFC fully deserved thier win.
