Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Illan having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tilili's Lico Abel got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tilili's Benito Illan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute. The corner led Ecuador's Cristian Sancho to fire away a dangerous shot which Benito Illan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 22 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fulgencio Errapel who took care of the corner kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ecuador fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Julio Vera, was totally fooled by Tilili's Fulgencio Errapel, who 23 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dino Simeoni in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 27th minute Tilili were awarded a corner. Fulgencio Errapel went to the cornerflag to take it. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Venancio Chuan sent off a good shot on target. Benito Illan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Illan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 37th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Benito Illan. Tilili's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Jakue in the 43rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Illan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Sebastián Puig during the 73rd minute. In the 96th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
