Eliseo Noboa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Gervaso in the 27th minute of play. After having played for 28 minutes, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Noboa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

In the 85thth minute of the game Mauro Caruso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Placido Etxahun in the 88th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Silvano Bazil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvano Bazil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Eigtheenstars 2 had played much better football throughout.
