In the 15thth minute of the game Lukáš Modrić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After taking down the ball on RIBEIRÃO FC's corner Lukáš Modrić fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Ongile having to interfere. Angelo Ongile made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of play. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Angelo Ongile despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee showed Nelson de Lara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The RIBEIRÃO FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
