In the 9th minute of the match 董诚政 sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 邓浩松, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but 邓浩松 showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. In the 23rd minute 邓浩松 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Efrain Moruga charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 江皓辰, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 邓浩松 came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Benito Sanz could save by the left post. In the 44th minute of the match 尹翀翔 shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 邓浩松 received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but 邓浩松 slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 61st minute 倪誉森 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Costa Rica's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 江皓辰 in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute 江皓辰 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
