After 5 played minutes Club Atletico Juanita got a freekick which was hit by Jakub Jaszcz. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petrică Ştefoi saved Club Atletico Juanita from getting behind. Petrică Ştefoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Juanita's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petrică Ştefoi came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petrică Ştefoi having to interfere. In the 21st match minute, Club Atletico Juanita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Matteo to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Epifanio Orlan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Juanita's supporters rose to their feet, but Epifanio Orlan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 27 minutes into the match, Epifanio Orlan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Epifanio Orlan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 35th minute. Julio Vera was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Benigno Lopes. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Epifanio Orlan in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After 39 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. A throw-in in the 45th minute of the game was made by Camilo Gisbert with Luis Andino as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Juanita's goalkeeper Petrică Ştefoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Juanita's Epifanio Orlan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
