Nikos Stavrou scored 2-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lipochσrion FC's Nikos Stavrou got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With 37 minutes on the clock, Rigoberto Mina commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lipochσrion FC:s goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patricio Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Theagenis Giannou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 61st minute. Nikos Stavrou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Nikos Stavrou scored 4-1 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Salvador Gisbert made in the 78th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Lipochσrion FC's Pantelis Mamidakis. In the 81st minute, Nikos Stavrou ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lipochσrion FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
