Iordanis Alexandridis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iordanis Alexandridis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. A collision led to Truchampionero FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Robert Rudy hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Truchampionero FC's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iordanis Alexandridis came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilbur Bain. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jack Kazimierz's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristian Sancho to make the kick off. Iordanis Alexandridis was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Felix Montenegro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Felix Montenegro really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. 70 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Wilbur Bain came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilbur Bain in the 74th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Truchampionero FC's Iordanis Alexandridis. Iordanis Alexandridis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 78 minutes into the match, Luis Andino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Iordanis Alexandridis, 0-5. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Iordanis Alexandridis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Andino might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iordanis Alexandridis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Andino ran back to his position shaking his head. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When 余帆南 came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Truchampionero FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 余帆南 couldn't finish the play. Diego Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iordanis Alexandridis having to interfere. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
