After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 卓洲亦 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Lop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgardo Lop's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. In the 64th match minute, 『盛世メ名門』泗海任我行 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 姚杰誉 to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Daniel Zorita from long distance, 65 minutes into the match, got 卓洲亦's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.
