If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Atlético Capixaba's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Charles de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shi Tian Kuan got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cauan Botelho. Panama's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Wiliam Perez scored to the left of an out of position Marcos Cotilla, making the score, 2-0. In the 28thth minute of the game Wiliam Perez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panama's Marcos Cotilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Charles de Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 35th minute of play forced Atlético Capixaba's goalkeeper Charles de Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Felipe Ros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shi Tian Kuan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Cotilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cauan Botelho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauan Botelho in the 43rd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a free kick in the 45th minute. After 46 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Shi Tian Kuan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Capixaba's supporters rose to their feet, but Shi Tian Kuan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Cotilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

After 51 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Panama! Atlético Capixaba's Fu Jun Feng was substituted for Shi Tian Kuan. Atlético Capixaba made a substitution. Otto Fesik replaced Wiliam Perez. Atlético Capixaba's Peder Ferro was substituted for Cristóvão Varela. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Fesik in the 69th minute of play. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Charles de Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. After 72 played minutes Atlético Capixaba got a freekick which was hit by Enrico Molinaro. 74 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Otto Fesik came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charles de Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Capixaba's zone, Abraham Alguacil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles de Brito came out of the goal and Abraham Alguacil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cauan Botelho in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Otto Fesik notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 95th minute Fu Jun Feng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fu Jun Feng in the 96th minute of the match. Panama's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
