Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Atletico Aragua FC's Renato Nunez-Tesheira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauro Acebal in the 2nd minute of play. Rafe Vallina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauro Acebal in the 17th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renato Nunez-Tesheira got free with Julio Vera in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Haitz Langarica took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Renato Nunez-Tesheira. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 36th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Aragua FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haitz Langarica came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Haitz Langarica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Henrique Taranco kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After having played for 52 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Haitz Langarica made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 54th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Nunez-Tesheira in the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Lauro Acebal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Renato Nunez-Tesheira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haitz Langarica having to interfere. Lauro Acebal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Atletico Aragua FC's Haitz Langarica got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 79 played minutes Atletico Aragua FC got a freekick which was hit by Lauro Acebal. 82 minutes into the game, Atletico Aragua FC's Renato Nunez-Tesheira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 89 minutes Atletico Aragua FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Atletico Aragua FC's Haitz Langarica managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 95th minute, Miguel Echavarria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Atletico Aragua FC to leave the ground with a draw.
