Beltza Morell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the game, Bilbo Frecha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ATLETICO HUILA F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. 17 minutes into the match, ATLETICO HUILA F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Beltza Morell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidoro Sarmiento struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Beltza Morell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. Kusko Borica might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Cotilla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kusko Borica ran back to his position shaking his head. 32 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Txeru Errasti came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Miralles in the 34th minute of play forced ATLETICO HUILA F.C's goalkeeper Beltza Morell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, ATLETICO HUILA F.C's Marcos Cotilla threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Timeteo Hernani, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 44 minutes into the game, Txeru Errasti recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcos Cotilla. Txeru Errasti showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ortzi Gustros, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bonifaco Sovera to make the kick off. ATLETICO HUILA F.C's Beltza Morell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save ATLETICO HUILA F.C from getting a goal against them. When ATLETICO HUILA F.C's Bonifaco Sovera in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Beltza Morell made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Abraham Alguacil sent off a good shot on target. After 73 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Miralles. The supporters of Panama booed when ATLETICO HUILA F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kusko Borica didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Panama players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ATLETICO HUILA F.C.
