Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 8 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Gordon Suarez came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute Gordon Suarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vanadio F.C.'s Paulin Sequeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 18th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Gordon Suarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute of the game Luis Cazalla made a throw-in which Kevin Mastache played forward. Gordon Suarez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Abram Sarmiento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Axel Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulin Sequeiros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Colombia were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Vanadio F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Montenegro took the corner. In the 42nd minute, Axel Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 45 minutes into the game, Colombia's Axel Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulin Sequeiros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Gordon Suarez made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pascual Carballar during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 50 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Carballar. 52 minutes into the game, Gordon Suarez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Colombia's Kevin Mastache quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Servando Ariztimuño, made in the 58th minute of the game. In the 59th minute, Kevin Mastache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 minutes, Gordon Suarez made it 4-3 with a short kick to the right side. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Vanadio F.C.'s Xaime Abar was substituted for Rıfat Şahin. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. The audience was convinced that Gordon Suarez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. In the 74th minute Bekir Çağan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orlando Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leizarraga Olmedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Xaime Abar in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Colombia's Abram Secada. Leizarraga Olmedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Kevin Mastache kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leizarraga Olmedo in the 89th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Vanadio F.C.'s Giraldo Bermudez got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Vanadio F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
