With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 9th match minute, Manchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danish Ning to maneuver through the defense. Manchester United's Ali Artuner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Sebastián Puig in the 12th minute of play. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bryan Ramachandran showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Azam Chews short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Manchester United's Daniz Keng got a free kick in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute of play forced Manchester United's goalkeeper Ali Artuner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 played minutes Manchester United got a freekick which was hit by Danish Ning. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Artuner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Azam Chew. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Ali Artuner made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Azam Chew's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Daniz Keng struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester United. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Azam Chew, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute.
