Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Alejandro Verdu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alejandro Verdu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 13th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bubu Denat in the 14th minute. Dante Lacasa was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Bubu Denat capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bubu Denat really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Bubu Denat's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Dante Lacasa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bubu Denat in the 22nd minute of the match. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute Federico Zanetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Federico Zanetti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Federico Zanetti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 32nd minute, Alberto Tafalla made a precise shot to the right of Alejandro Verdu. F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Bubu Denat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Bubu Denat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Zanetti, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's Antoni Villarroel was substituted for Gonzalo Boye. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antoni Villarroel's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Luca Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alejandro Verdu. That made the score 3-2 in the 70 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 74th minute of play forced F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's goalkeeper Alejandro Verdu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's Alejandro Verdu got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Alejandro Verdu managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lautaro Mancebo in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA made a substitution. Lluis Rivas replaced Marino Ramos. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA were victorious despite being under pressure from Mexico for much of the match.
