Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Allan Varela. Palestra do Interior's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Paulo Godoi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rolando Noboa came out and tried to block the shot, but Paulo Godoi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 7th minute. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Paulo Godoi sped through Peru's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The supporters of Peru booed when Palestra do Interior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hudson Sergipano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allan Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 30th minute. The corner led Peru's Joaquin Prats to a score. 2-2 in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, Palestra do Interior's Herbert Pankowski got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Allan Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a left leg Allan Varela saved Palestra do Interior from getting behind. Allan Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Paulo Godoi came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Palestra do Interior fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Godoi couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Peru! 57 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Allan Varela. Julian Murillo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. 62 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Allan Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Allan Varela. Palestra do Interior's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. In the 87th minute, Milagros Fraga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Peru's Milagros Fraga got a free kick in the 88th minute. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Palestra do Interior's Vitório Lago. But to his dismay, Vitório Lago quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-4. Allan Varela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Gallo in the 97th minute. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eliseo Mina in the 99th minute. Eliseo Mina made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela managed to reach the ball for a save. Antonio Tenorio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 99thth minute tested the skills of Allan Varela when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Allan Varela was a little too slow when Eliseo Alcocer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 100th minute. The score was now 4-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Peru eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
