Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emil Zaremba started the match with the kick off. Erivaldo Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. A nice corner shot did that Jaime Cazalla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Erivaldo Furlan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Cacá Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 24th minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Tamboril booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiliano Escribano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erivaldo Furlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th match minute, Tamboril was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 37th minute of play forced Tamboril's goalkeeper Erivaldo Furlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Tamboril getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Narciso Pernambucano hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Seco in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erivaldo Furlan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Camilo Franco charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Franco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Camilo Franco hit a great ball. Alberto Gisbert hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Cacá Matorin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Maximiliano Escribano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erivaldo Furlan having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Seco was the one to do the kick off. When Tamboril's Cacá Matorin in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uruguay's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Tamboril's Erivaldo Furlan got control of the ball when Maximiliano Escribano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Uruguay were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Tamboril's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Cazalla took the corner. Jaime Cazalla made a great header on Uruguay's corner, it was just that Tamboril's Erivaldo Furlan managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 59th minute Emil Zaremba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute of the match Uruguay got a corner. Tamboril's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Cazalla ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Jaime Cazalla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Erivaldo Furlan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of Uruguay:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tamboril:s goal. 74 minutes into the match, Tamboril's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Erivaldo Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ezequiel Duarte made in the 86th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Vânderson Peixoto however managed to control. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Erivaldo Furlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Carballal to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rdth minute of the game Vânderson Peixoto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Tamboril fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Uruguay were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
