Luca Espinar charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luca Espinar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of BERMEJO booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. BERMEJO were victorious despite being under pressure from Honduras for much of the match.
