Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Abram Sarmiento started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Pascual Carballar got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After 7 played minutes Esmeraldas S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Yan Zhou Xuan. In the 9th minute of the match Santino Seco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aguinaga Nebot showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Stefanos Terzopoulos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 12th minute, İbrahim Volkan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. İbrahim Volkan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Martinez Cines came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Esmeraldas S.C. were awarded a corner. Stefanos Terzopoulos went to the cornerflag to take it. Stefanos Terzopoulos made a great header on Esmeraldas S.C.'s corner, it was just that Colombia's Pedro Manzanares managed to reach the ball for a save. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İbrahim Volkan in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of Esmeraldas S.C. booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that İbrahim Volkan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aguinaga Nebot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martinez Cines, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aguinaga Nebot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 32nd minute of play. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aguinaga Nebot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Aguinaga Nebot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute İbrahim Volkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İbrahim Volkan in the 39th minute of play. Axel Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Stefanos Terzopoulos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stefanos Terzopoulos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Colombia's Luis Cazalla got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 59 minutes Esmeraldas S.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Montenegro who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Axel Montenegro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aguinaga Nebot quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Indiano in the 61st minute of play forced Esmeraldas S.C.'s goalkeeper Aguinaga Nebot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Maftei in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Stefanos Terzopoulos came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Indiano hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Antonio Indiano hit a great ball. Abram Secada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Aguinaga Nebot made a huge save. In the 81st minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Esmeraldas S.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kevin Mastache ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aguinaga Nebot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 84th minute of play. Abram Secada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aguinaga Nebot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kevin Mastache in the 89th minute. Esmeraldas S.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
