Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Colombia's Abram Sarmiento started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aguinaga Nebot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Carballar in the 5th minute of play. Aguinaga Nebot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Esmeraldas S.C.'s İbrahim Volkan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedro Manzanares. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. After 13 minutes Colombia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stefanos Terzopoulos who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Stefanos Terzopoulos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares did a great save. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esmeraldas S.C.'s goalkeeper Aguinaga Nebot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. Axel Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Axel Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aguinaga Nebot was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. If Martinez Cines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Oskar Petersson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32ndth minute of the game Abram Sarmiento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esmeraldas S.C.'s Aguinaga Nebot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Maftei in the 33rd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Esmeraldas S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Aguinaga Nebot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by İbrahim Volkan in the 38th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İbrahim Volkan in the 38th minute of the match. Esmeraldas S.C.'s Stefanos Terzopoulos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pedro Manzanares in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Axel Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Aguinaga Nebot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. Ghitã Fratea hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute İbrahim Volkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 66th minute İbrahim Volkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abram Sarmiento in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aguinaga Nebot saved Esmeraldas S.C. from getting behind. A sloppy throw-in by Ghitã Fratea in the 82nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. Abram Secada blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aguinaga Nebot having to make a save. Esmeraldas S.C.'s Aguinaga Nebot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Esmeraldas S.C. from getting a goal against them. 83 minutes into the match, Abram Secada notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Esmeraldas S.C.'s Aguinaga Nebot. Aguinaga Nebot was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 88th minute of the match Stefanos Terzopoulos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Manzanares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Pascual Carballar came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Colombia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascual Carballar couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Antonio Indiano got a free kick in the 91st minute. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Maftei in the 91st minute of play. In the 94th minute, İbrahim Volkan made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2.
