Amerigo Muzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santino Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Amerigo Muzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amerigo Muzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Amerigo Muzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Luiz Gustavo do Valle reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Manzanares. The goal made the score 2-0. After 42 played minutes Floripa Lions FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Aurelian Ilie. Axel Montenegro's late challenge caught a Floripa Lions FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Axel Montenegro helped the player get up and apologised. Axel Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 46th minute Luiz Gustavo do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Amerigo Muzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santino Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The throw-in from Orlando Tafalla in the 53rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Floripa Lions FSCMZ's José Carlos Alagoano. The supporters of Colombia booed when Floripa Lions FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luís Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Amerigo Muzi made a huge save. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Gustavo do Valle in the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Luiz Gustavo do Valle made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Amerigo Muzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santino Seco in the 79th minute of the match. After 79th play minutes Ignacio Mastache shot 3-3, a short shot which went by Amerigo Muzi and just under the crossbar into goal. Amanda Zigiotti kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Abram Secada's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Amerigo Muzi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Santino Seco took a quick shot and it went in 3-4 without a chance for Amerigo Muzi to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hortêncio Montenegro in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. In the 90th minute of the match Floripa Lions FSCMZ got a corner. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pedro Luís Alvarenga ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Floripa Lions FSCMZ booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignacio Mastache didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Mastache came free, but Amerigo Muzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Colombia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
