Fc Benefica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chile the free kick. The supporters of Chile booed when Fc Benefica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Wilmink didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 23 minutes Chile's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leandro Soares who took care of the corner kick. After 82 minutes of play, Fc Benefica's Leandro Soares made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Pliego was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Mitchel Dijkstra made a huge save. With a little luck, Fc Benefica's Mitchel Dijkstra got control of the ball when Orlando Casaus tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88th match minute, Fc Benefica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damien Bakker to maneuver through the defense. Chile's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Fc Benefica had won, even though Chile had held more of the ball.
