Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Tiaguinho Mandrak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Tiaguinho Mandrak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Baal Grunberg came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wachirapong Wattanachinda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wachirapong Wattanachinda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wachirapong Wattanachinda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 26th minute of play. 26 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Mexico's Alberto Tafalla fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 30th minute of play forced Clube do Remo MZ's goalkeeper Wachirapong Wattanachinda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Luca Zorita hit a great ball. Wachirapong Wattanachinda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Tafalla's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Clube do Remo MZ's Baal Grunberg got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute of the match Didi Mello shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baal Grunberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Wachirapong Wattanachinda made a huge save. After 52 minutes Clube do Remo MZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wachirapong Wattanachinda in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 54 played minutes Clube do Remo MZ got a freekick which was hit by Kang Cheng Ao. Daniel Namasivayam was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, Daniel Namasivayam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wachirapong Wattanachinda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 59th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wachirapong Wattanachinda saved Clube do Remo MZ from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Didi Mello in the 63rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wachirapong Wattanachinda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 64th minute of the match. After 69 minutes of play, Clube do Remo MZ's Tiaguinho Mandrak made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Clube do Remo MZ's Didi Mello got a free kick in the 71st minute. A collision led to Clube do Remo MZ getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Teun Ubels hit a great ball. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wachirapong Wattanachinda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Wachirapong Wattanachinda could save by the left post. Wachirapong Wattanachinda didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 75th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Wachirapong Wattanachinda however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Wachirapong Wattanachinda in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiaguinho Mandrak in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. After 84 played minutes Clube do Remo MZ got a freekick which was hit by Dagoberto Sandoval. In the 85th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wachirapong Wattanachinda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Clube do Remo MZ getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Dagoberto Sandoval hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
