An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 23rd minute of play forced Trocha Media FC's goalkeeper Jacobo Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvestre Hustaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristian Sancho scored 0-4 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacobo Azevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jacobo Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
