Quinto Fonticoba was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Quinto Fonticoba came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Luz Tejedor. But to his dismay, Luz Tejedor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Edson Ribeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. After 24 minutes, Mo Wei Xing mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio Prudente and the Peru players grew even worse after the yellow card. Quinto Fonticoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute of the match, Gomesano Gatica tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rolando Noboa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Quinto Fonticoba saved Grêmio Prudente from getting behind. In the 30th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Grêmio Prudente's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Julian Murillo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Luan Negri made in the 34th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Andy Strömberg however managed to control. Quinto Fonticoba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 played minutes Grêmio Prudente got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Augusto Sena. 44 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Quinto Fonticoba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

54 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Edson Ribeiro came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucrețiu Grigore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. Grêmio Prudente's Quinto Fonticoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 58th minute of play. Quinto Fonticoba didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 61st minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. Luan Negri made in the 76th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Lucrețiu Grigore however managed to control. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Quinto Fonticoba in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edson Ribeiro's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mo Wei Xing in the 86th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Ribeiro in the 88th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edson Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Peru eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
