Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Réda Kolb went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 29 minutes into the game, Enrique Silban recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Enrique Silban showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauro Boselli in the 32nd minute. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 45 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Réda Kolb in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauro Boselli to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Enrique Silban had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enrique Silban was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The audience was convinced that Réda Kolb's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brooks Willison in the 58th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Brooks Willison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Shuspendemo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Schiacciacasse didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Diego Gerber ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. When Lucas Rivas came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Shuspendemo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Rivas couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Shuspendemo's Venancio Kepa. But to his dismay, Venancio Kepa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Jonathan Ferrant went to the wrong direction when Mauro Boselli was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 90th minute, Mauro Boselli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Shuspendemo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauro Boselli in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 94 minutes, Mauro Boselli made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Silban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Shuspendemo were the better team. Shuspendemo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
