The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Åke Jansson's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 59th minute, Åke Jansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Zero Hedge defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wiktor Wallander. The Zero Hedge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wiktor Wallander should have stopped the shot. In the 68th play minute Daniel Zorita came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Wiktor Wallander. 0-3. In the 74th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Zero Hedge getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Hans Nordström hit a great ball. In the 78th minute, Felix Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Zero Hedge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Nordström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5.
