Fedele Bardella was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 23 minutes into the match, Huracan United -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Fedele Bardella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Huracan United -MM-'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wayne Rooney in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of Huracan United -MM- booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fedele Bardella came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Montes during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dragoş Grădinaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Fedele Bardella made a huge save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dragoş Grădinaru in the 65th minute of play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. In the 66th minute of the match Iraklis Pistolelis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Iraklis Pistolelis might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iraklis Pistolelis ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dragoş Grădinaru in the 70th minute of the match. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that CJ Zidane was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 86th minute, Dragoş Grădinaru had to leave the field with a concussion. When Antonio Arias fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Antonio Arias a yellow card for diving instead. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. When Marin Bălan came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Huracan United -MM- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marin Bălan couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Bălan in the 94th minute of play. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fedele Bardella having to make a save. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Huracan United -MM-.
