Östen Vennersten hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, MAFFIAN's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Aron Dahlbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kristoffer Nyberg's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kristoffer Nyberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th match minute, MAFFIAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristoffer Nyberg to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aron Dahlbom. Aron Dahlbom dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Thomas Wassberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Thomas Wassberg slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 33rd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thomas Wassberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes MAFFIAN got a freekick which was hit by Michel Kjellkvist. In the 53rdth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MAFFIAN's Aron Dahlbom was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gunde Svan might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gunde Svan ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to MAFFIAN getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Michel Kjellkvist hit a great ball. MAFFIAN's Dennis Edström was substituted for George Svensson. In the 66th match minute, MAFFIAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Kjellkvist to maneuver through the defense. Östen Vennersten got a throw-in 67 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Hugo Nyman. After having played for 72 minutes, Alex Vallin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MAFFIAN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Vallin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Michel Kjellkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 76th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Dahlbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 80th minute of play forced MAFFIAN's goalkeeper Aron Dahlbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torgny Mogren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aron Dahlbom came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Illescas slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 86th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Torgny Mogren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Torgny Mogren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Edström in the 95th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
