Cesare Cardillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milagros Fraga in the 5th minute of play. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victorio Modestio in the 11th minute. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cesare Cardillo was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. It was a well-played corner which Alonso Berganza managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. In the 29th match minute, Lechuguitas F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorio Modestio to maneuver through the defense. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florian Corales kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 34th minute of play forced Lechuguitas F.C.'s goalkeeper Cesare Cardillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lechuguitas F.C.'s Cesare Cardillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 35th minute of play. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lechuguitas F.C.'s goalkeeper Cesare Cardillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eliseo Mina scored 2-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cesare Cardillo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Florian Corales charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Florian Corales the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Peru booed when Lechuguitas F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Corales didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute Victorio Modestio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Florentino Nabar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rolando Noboa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Cesare Cardillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luz Tejedor in the 55th minute. Cesare Cardillo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luz Tejedor went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lechuguitas F.C.'s goalkeeper Cesare Cardillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amancio Clodio made in the 73rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Eliseo Mina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lechuguitas F.C. made a substitution. Hélio Nascimento replaced 于阳朋. Lechuguitas F.C.'s Leonardo Paz was substituted for Victorio Modestio. 81 minutes into the game, Leonardo Paz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lechuguitas F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peru the free kick. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Lechuguitas F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Peru:s goal. After 89 played minutes Lechuguitas F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Clodio. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lechuguitas F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! Cesare Cardillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Gallo in the 97th minute of the match.
