In the 17th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantin Potocianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Usain Bolt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kálmán Pádár kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Constantin Potocianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milagros Fraga in the 25th minute of play. Peru were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Mapovihesa FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. 32 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Mapovihesa FC's Constantin Potocianu. Constantin Potocianu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anthony Alvarado made in the 35th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Usain Bolt in the 36th minute of play. Usain Bolt took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

In the 53rd minute, Usain Bolt made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 63 minutes into the game, Usain Bolt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mapovihesa FC made a substitution. Marcial Iratze replaced Álvaro Prata. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Erramu in the 69th minute of play. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raimundo Erramu's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Raimundo Erramu sped through Peru's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Peru's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
