Ezequiel Centurión stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ezequiel Centurión tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel Centurión saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pablo Solari. 28 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Solari came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Riverzone defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ezequiel Centurión. The Riverzone fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ezequiel Centurión should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Riverzone's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ezequiel Centurión came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezequiel Centurión showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 41st minute of the match. Riverzone's Ezequiel Centurión played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 44th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonio Arias during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The long shot by Matías Kranevitter in the 47th minute really tested Julio Vera's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pablo Solari was the one to do the kick off. Riverzone's Ezequiel Centurión proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Riverzone from getting a goal against them. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Ezequiel Centurión made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 60th minute of play. The Riverzone fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Riverzone's Pablo Solari looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 70 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Esequiel Barco came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Riverzone's Ezequiel Centurión proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Riverzone from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pablo Solari's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ezequiel Centurión breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 84 minutes, Pablo Solari made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 92 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ezequiel Centurión. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Centurión having to interfere. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
