Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Pucará's Pepe Sand ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 9th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pepe Sand in the 12th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Lautaro Morales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 18th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Morales saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Morales showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Pucará's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner ended in Felix Montes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pucará's Lautaro Morales did a great save. In the 30th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Pucará's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Lautaro Morales reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Morales. Pucará's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 43rd minute of the match, Dario Artizar got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 44th match minute, Pucará was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timoteo Martxot to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pepe Sand to make the kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 51st minute of the game. One of Pucará:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Lautaro Morales to make any attempt to save it. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Morales narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Artizar in the 63rd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lautaro Morales. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Pucará's Benedicto Caitano was substituted for Bernabe Olivar. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Pucará's Dario Artizar. But to his dismay, Dario Artizar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Lautaro Morales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pucará's Franco Orozco was substituted for Pepe Sand. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pucará's Lautaro Morales proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Pucará from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gabriel Tulio kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Morales saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dario Artizar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Franco Orozco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pucará's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Pucará was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franco Orozco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Timoteo Martxot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Orozco in the 97th minute of play. Ecuador played a much better game than Pucará and deserved their victory. The Pucará players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
