After 6 minutes NEGRITUDE FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Chi-Chi Legay who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Chi-Chi Legay got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ernesto Vargas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After having played for 8 minutes, Juan Fernando Quinteros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stellenbosch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Fernando Quinteros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mao Zhen kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. With a little luck, NEGRITUDE FC's Ernesto Vargas got control of the ball when Gerardo Beltran tried to sneak it across the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Gerardo Beltran notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of NEGRITUDE FC's Ernesto Vargas. Ernesto Vargas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Júnior Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. NEGRITUDE FC's Ernesto Vargas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save NEGRITUDE FC from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute Osvaldo Bernat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Stellenbosch's Osvaldo Bernat nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernesto Vargas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Ernesto Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Mingo in the 34th minute of play. Severo Mingo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, NEGRITUDE FC's Ernesto Vargas got control of the ball when Gerardo Beltran tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 46 minutes of play, Stellenbosch's Gerardo Beltran made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernesto Vargas was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Júlio Salles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Severo Mingo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Severo Mingo came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Stellenbosch fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severo Mingo couldn't finish the play. In the 55th minute, Gerardo Beltran made a precise shot to the right of Ernesto Vargas. NEGRITUDE FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvaldo Bernat in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernesto Vargas saved NEGRITUDE FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Mingo in the 64th minute of play forced NEGRITUDE FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Osvaldo Bernat left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stellenbosch fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Stellenbosch made a substitution. Octavio Lluis replaced Osvaldo Bernat. Ernesto Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Savini, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute, Juan Fernando Quinteros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stellenbosch fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. 81 minutes into the game, Stellenbosch's Laureano Gora nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernesto Vargas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. 88 minutes into the game, Kauan Leão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NEGRITUDE FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stellenbosch the free kick. A collision led to NEGRITUDE FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Kauan Leão hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Octavio Lluis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernesto Vargas was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0.
