Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Remigio Finlay started the match with the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigio Finlay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Lance Cabezas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AA GUARULHOS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Remigio Finlay managed to get in a good position for a shot. AA GUARULHOS's supporters rose to their feet, but Remigio Finlay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Remigio Finlay might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Remigio Finlay ran back to his position shaking his head. 23 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Remigio Finlay came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remigio Finlay in the 26th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, AA GUARULHOS's Remigio Finlay dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Lance Cabezas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Remigio Finlay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AA GUARULHOS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Lance Cabezas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Remigio Finlay blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigio Finlay in the 61st minute of the match. When Jonathan Venegas fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jonathan Venegas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remigio Finlay took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remigio Finlay in the 68th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Remigio Finlay notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Remigio Finlay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Venezuela booed when AA GUARULHOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Ingegno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugenio Ingegno hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After 81 played minutes AA GUARULHOS got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Ingegno. 85 minutes into the match, AA GUARULHOS's Lance Cabezas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Remigio Finlay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 86th minute Remigio Finlay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AA GUARULHOS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
