The supporters of RO Army V55 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joshua Secada hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of RO Army V55's Stamatis Leontiou. Stamatis Leontiou was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. RO Army V55's attentive Manos Komaitis managed to snatch the ball when Salvador Gisbert made a throw-in in the 13th minute of the game. 21 minutes into the match, RO Army V55's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Stamatis Leontiou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Louis Makris blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Camilo Gaos made in the 31st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Tomas Illescas. A sloppy throw-in by Salvador Gisbert in the 36th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by RO Army V55's Soulis Souanis. 37 minutes into the game, Salvador Gisbert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RO Army V55 the free kick. After 37 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Gisbert. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 38th minute. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the RO Army V55 defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stamatis Leontiou. The RO Army V55 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stamatis Leontiou should have stopped the shot. In the 46th match minute, RO Army V55 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fanis Kapernekas to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dionysis Loizos to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Stamatis Leontiou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stamatis Leontiou. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 73rd minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, RO Army V55's Manos Komaitis got a free kick in the 74th minute. Louis Makris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stamatis Leontiou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 81st minute of play. A throw-in in the 86th minute of the game was made by Camilo Gaos with Tomas Illescas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stamatis Leontiou having to interfere. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Stamatis Leontiou made a huge save. Stamatis Leontiou made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Venezuela's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
