In the 9thth minute of the game Stanley Wallace who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Neide Mendes's 沈真天 was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Troy Kennedy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Curacao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Neide Mendes the free kick. After 17 minutes, Rocco Owen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Curacao and the Neide Mendes players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Curacao's Rocco Owen got a free kick in the 17th minute. 柯风强s short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Bruno Barrett to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bruno Barrett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 柯风强's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After 26 played minutes Neide Mendes got a freekick which was hit by 麦雄谦. 28 minutes into the game, Neide Mendes's 柳峰迪 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Barrett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If 柯风强 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When %teams%'s 柯风强 was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 2-0 just inside the left pole, 33 minutes into the game. Bruno Barrett was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by 柯风强 in the 38th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when 柯风强 got free with Bruno Barrett in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute, Rocco Owen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 柯风强 in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bruno Barrett, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Neide Mendes's 柳峰迪 got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Neide Mendes's 柯风强 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bruno Barrett. That made the score 3-0 after 48 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 柯风强 to make the kick off. Stanley Wallace's late challenge caught a Neide Mendes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stanley Wallace helped the player get up and apologised. Stanley Wallace kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 柳峰迪 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 柳峰迪 in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Barrett saved Curacao from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, 顾坤鸿 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Neide Mendes's supporters rose to their feet, but 顾坤鸿 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Barrett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 陶镇榕 made a great header on Neide Mendes's corner, it was just that Curacao's Bruno Barrett managed to reach the ball for a save. The Neide Mendes fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Neide Mendes's 柯风强 looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Curacao getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Bertie Johnson hit a great ball. If 柯风强 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 柳峰迪, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rocco Owen kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Curacao's Bruno Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 柯风强 in the 99th minute of play. There was no doubt that Neide Mendes were the better team. Neide Mendes's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
